MU Pride Month Exhibition Submissions

This Is What Pride Looks Like

Together with the MU Museum of Anthropology, we want your submissions for an exhibit that tells the story of LGBTQIA+ individuals in our community and across Missouri.

Overview

  • MU students, faculty and staff are allowed to submit applications.
  • A committee from the LGBTQ Resource Center and and Museum of Anthropology will review applications and include as many objects as possible in the exhibit.
  • Participants will be active in the creation of exhibit and will be asked to be active in the creation of the exhibition, including providing label text for their submission.
  • Space is limited and not all submissions will be displayed.

 

To share the experiences and objects of all applicants in a meaningful way, those not on exhibit will be included in a supplemental pamphlet available beside the exhibit. Please make sure photos of objects are in focus.

 

Application Steps

  1. Complete Feature Exhibition Entry Form and Feature Exhibition Disclaimer.
  2. Email Amanda (AJ) Staley Harrison and cc: boldtj@missouri.edu, hshg7@missouri.edu using “Pride 2025 Submission” as the subject line.

Deadlines

Feb. 15: All entries must be submitted.
March 1: Last day participants will be notified of their acceptance. Exhibit curators will follow up with more information if accepted.
March 15: Label information deadline for accepted submissions.
