About Us

We’re the MU LGBTQ (Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, Queer) Resource Center and it is our goal to meet the needs of Mizzou’s campus.

Searching through the remainder of this site, you’ll see the many Campus Orgs we advise, InsideOUT Radio Show we host, Programs we offer, Events we put on, and Resources we have to share.

If you have any questions, comments, concerns, or issues, please don’t hesitate to let us know!

We believe that you’re good. You’re worthwhile and we’re glad that you’re at Mizzou and in the world. It’s okay and wonderful for you to be you, whoever and however you may be.

MU LGBTQ Resource Center respects you as how you are. All are welcome. We work to educate about, support, and advocate for sexual and gender minorities at Mizzou. We offer support, events, education, trainings, involvement, leadership, community, and more.

We offer a supportive space, open to all, with knowledgable staff on many topics.

We act as a referral source for all manner of questions and concerns.

We have quite the brochure rack.

We offer hundreds of titles in our check-out library.

We receive multiple subscriptions to magazines, zines and newsletters relevant to the LGBTQ community that are always available to flip through in our lounge.

We have cuddly blankets for nap/study sessions.

We’re a great place to hang out or have lunch and meet new friends, pick up a cool button, and get info about Mizzou, Columbia, and the upcoming happenings around campus.

(If you’re having a hard time remembering or believing any of that, check out some of our Resources.)
